OrcaRouter Fusion

OrcaRouter Fusion is a routing preset rather than a single standalone model: it fans requests out in parallel to a panel of frontier models and uses a judge to return the strongest verbatim answer, cross-checked against the others. The curated panel explicitly pairs Claude Opus 4.8, GPT-5.5, and Gemini 3.1 Pro, with Claude Opus 4.8 also serving as the judging model that picks the winning response. This design treats reliability on difficult prompts as a panel property rather than a single-model bet, and the verbatim-selection approach avoids hidden blending of candidate outputs.

Fusion is designed for high-stakes reasoning rather than casual conversation. Casual chat is routed to a cheaper default, while coding, agentic, tool-using, and otherwise hard prompts trigger the full panel, so multi-model cost is only paid where a second opinion matters. It is positioned as a "Fable 5-level" replacement after that tier was pulled, and serves as the "call a preset" entry point to OrcaRouter's Routing DSL for users who later want to compose custom panels, judges, or gating rules. In practice it fits teams that want frontier-quality answers on deep reasoning, hard coding, research synthesis, and expert critique without standing up their own multi-model orchestration.
