FLUX1.1 [pro] Ultra is the high-resolution and feature-extended variant within Black Forest Labs' FLUX family, designed to push text-to-image generation toward production-grade visual quality. It extends the base FLUX1.1 [pro] pipeline to produce images up to 4 megapixels while keeping a roughly 10 second generation time per sample, a notable speed advantage over competing high-resolution offerings that typically slow down as pixel count grows. The model is built around a rectified-flow, Transformer-style diffusion architecture in the ~12 billion parameter range, with parallel attention blocks, which gives it the capacity to follow complex prompts and render detailed compositions at varied aspect ratios. Beyond the standard Ultra mode, a Raw mode is offered for creators who want a more natural, candid photographic look with less synthetic processing, and the system also supports image-to-image conditioning so existing visuals can be used as reference context.

Ultra is a refinement of the FLUX.1 [pro] lineage that already emphasized prompt adherence and inference speed, and the Ultra release layers higher resolution and a Raw aesthetic option on top of that foundation. Black Forest Labs positioned it for commercial visual production, art direction, and realistic concept rendering, where 4MP output, flexible aspect ratios, and faithful prompt following matter more than open-weight availability.
