Seed 2.0 Pro

Seed 2.0 Pro is positioned as ByteDance's flagship Seed family model, purpose-built for long-chain reasoning and robustness across complex real-world workflows. The release signals ByteDance's continued push into agentic AI, with the model designed to orchestrate multi-step tool calls and handle demanding reasoning pipelines. As part of the broader Seed 2.0 family that powers the Doubao consumer app, Pro sits at the top of the lineup and is engineered to compete with frontier offerings from other major labs while keeping token costs notably lower than several established competitors.

Benchmark reporting from third-party reviewers highlights Seed 2.0 Pro's strengths across mathematics, code, and multimodal understanding. Reported scores include 98.3 on AIME 2025 and 97.3 on HMMT for advanced math, 76.5 on SWE-Bench Verified and 87.8 on LiveCodeBench v6 for software engineering tasks, and 74.0 on FrontierSci-olympiad for science reasoning. The model also performs strongly in visual reasoning, spatial understanding, and video comprehension, ranking near the top of the LMArena vision leaderboard. Practical fit centers on agentic applications that require adjustable thinking modes, function calling for tool use, and the ability to process text, image, and video inputs within an extended context window, making it well suited for large-scale reasoning, multi-step orchestration, and long-context agent workflows.
