Its million-token context makes it a strong fit for extended tasks, while the Kimi Code documentation also identifies a 256k variant for everyday questions, code completion, routine feature development, and small edits. The documentation notes that the full-context option uses about twice the quota of the 256k version, so teams should choose the shorter configuration when sustained usage matters and retain the longer option for work that needs additional context.
