Following the release of the Qwen3.5 series in February, we are thrilled to announce the official launch of Qwen3.6-Plus.
Model details
Built as a multimodal agentic model, Qwen3.6 Plus combines efficient linear attention with sparse mixture-of-experts routing to deliver strong performance on repository-level coding and complex engineering tasks. Alibaba positioned the release as a step forward in agentic AI, emphasizing autonomous handling of coding workflows alongside multimodal understanding across images and video. On launch, the model quickly drew attention by topping daily usage rankings on OpenRouter, signaling strong early developer interest in its agent-oriented design.
In practical terms, Qwen3.6 Plus is aimed at developers and enterprises that need end-to-end automation of software projects, including translating UI screenshots and design mockups into production code, tackling front-end development for interactive 3D scenes and games, and sustaining reasoning across long multi-turn agent sessions. Reported benchmark results reinforce this focus, with the model showing strong autonomous coding scores on SWE-Bench Verified and Terminal-Bench 2.0, alongside solid results on GPQA Diamond for reasoning and MMMU for multimodal understanding. The very large context window also lets it process entire codebases and lengthy documents, making it a natural fit for enterprise engineering workflows and cloud-integrated AI assistants.
A provider subscription or plan supersedes token-based pricing for this model.
